Amaro Vineyard is located in Glen Ellen, in the Moon Mountain District and consists of a 20-acre gem, situated high on the steep hills of the Mayacama Mountains, overlooking the beautiful Sonoma Valley.  We have eight acres of steeply-terraced Cabernet Sauvignon, and a little over a half-acre of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.

Our Vineyard is in the perfect “terroir”, with volcanic, rocky soil, which provides the optimum characteristics for the highest quality wine grapes. We also have an acre of olive trees, which produce a pleasant, earthy and slightly peppery olive oil.

For now, our wine and olive oil production are very small, creating a nice “hobby” for Michael and Mary Kay Amaro. Producing wine and olive oil enables them to share their love and passion of food and wine, with friends (old and new) and family.
